Recent Happenings...

God is doing great things here at "Life in the Falls!" We were so excited about 7 being baptized this past Sunday and many lives being touched in the services. We will be entering into 40 day time period, starting tomorrow, of drawing closer to God through 24 hour prayer, fasting, sacrificial giving, reaching out and special revival services.

In the summer, we started English as a Second Language classes. Below is the class who received their Certificates of Completion. They have now started a new semester and we are excited to be able to offer this community service.

We would love to see you in service with us. Sundays we meet at 10am for Sunday School classes, 11am for Morning Worship and Wednesdays at 7:30pm for The Word for Life. Come see what's happening for yourself!

STAND OUT! Back-to-School 2009

Here's a video for our Back-to-School service this year! It is time for us to "Stand Out" for the Kingdom of God!

Our children and youth committed Sunday night to be what God has called us to be. We are looking forward to what God has in store for the 2009-2010 school year!

Homecoming makes the paper today...

Just wanted to let you see the newspaper article about our 1960's-70's Homecoming. It is great coverage and we are thankful to Sarah Johnson for getting it published. We are continuing to receive notes from those who attended letting us know how much they enjoyed themselves. We are so happy that it was such a blessing to everyone as it was to us also! You can click on these images and they will open in another window at a larger size enabling you to read the article. The first page is pictures about it and the story is on the second page...

Mighty Things!

God is doing mighty things in our church and community!  The past few weeks have been exciting as our church family rises to walk the streets of Wichita Falls and connect with people in our everyday lives.  We saw the beginning of results on Community Day this past Sunday.  This week has been a time of reconnecting with our guests and continuing to personalize with those around us.  Life will not be the same.  It will be hard work, but very rewarding as we do the will of God.  Raising babies is time-consuming, but worth it.  As we all join together in unity of purpose, it will be made easier.  We had over 403 in attendance for Community Day with 13 baptized and at least 4 filled with the Spirit!  We are celebrating a milestone!!

This coming Sunday evening will be a bi-lingual service with Spanish and English.  We invite everyone to come experience the exciting praise, music, friends and God's Word.

Mighty things are happening and I want to be a part of it all!

The mission

I believe Life Tabernacle is ready!
Filled with the Spirit.
Trained to walk with God.
Committed and faithful.
Unified to the best of our ability.

What is the mission?
Not to have good church.
Not to feel good about ourselves.
Not to like what we hear.
Not to have things and be blessed.
Our mission is the harvest!

Do you believe in the mission?
The trouble with deep belief is that it costs me something. If I believe in the mission, I have to participate. It costs us individually and the church harvests only as much as we each harvest.
"There comes a special moment in everyone's life, a moment for which that person was born. That special opportunity, when he seizes it, will fulfill his mission - a mission for which he is uniquely qualified. In that moment, he finds greatness. It is his finest hour." —Winston Churchill
This is our moment. In this last hour, the Lord is calling you to your finest hour— for His glory, His purpose and His harvest.
